DNA Sequencing - Services
Eton provides the following customized commercial sequencing services tailored to your specific needs while enabling institutions and companies to realize substantial savings to stretch your research budget to the fullest extent.
Sanger Sequencing
DNA samples are sequenced using ABI automated sequencers which translate the fluorescent signals into their corresponding base pair sequence. The template DNA can be plasmid or PCR. Eton provides universal primers such as T7, T3, SP6, M13F and M13R free of charge. Click here to view primers Eton offers free of charge. We can also synthesize unique primers for the convenience of our customers or customers can provide their own primers.
Primer Walk Sequencing
For plasmid or PCR products greater than 1 kb in length, we will conduct initial primer extension reactions from universal or customer specified primers. Unique primers corresponding to the terminal sequence obtained from the initial reaction will be synthesized by Eton and additional reactions will be performed as necessary to completely sequence the region of interest.
Publication Quality Sequencing
Our Publication Quality Sequencing Service is offered for plasmid and PCR Products. We will perform primer walk sequencing reactions as described above, but using both DNA strands simultaneously when known initial primer sites exist on both terminal ends of the region of interest. Both strands of the region of interest are sequenced independently. The accuracy of Publication Quality Sequencing data is guaranteed by virtue of complete complementarity between the two strands.
Ready To Load Sequencing
Customers are responsible for assembling the reactions and mixing them with big dye from ABI. After we receive the samples, we directly load them on the sequencer without any intervention. We only run it once regardless of the outcomes.
